Activity Holidays in Uganda

Overview

When it comes to pure, spectacular landscapes and biodiversity, even in a continent as vast and varied as Africa, Uganda sits at the top table.

Mist-shrouded mountains and thick jungle hide glacial lakes, jagged peaks and crashing waterfalls, as well as one of Africa’s largest gorilla populations.

Whether it’s trekking through this epic country in search of these mountain gorillas, or rafting on the Nile in the country where the longest river in the world originates, Uganda is a country rich with the promise of experiences that will live rent-free in your head forever.

Uganda has two dry seasons: December through to February, and June through to August. These are generally the best months to head out trekking in search of gorillas, as during the rainy season the walking is much tougher going.
