What you'll do

Starting in Hue, explore the world-famous Hai Van Pass in all its twisting, climbing, dramatic glory. Drop in on some beautiful swimming spots and take in incredible views, all from the back of a vintage open-top Jeep.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Hue at around 8/8:30 am, then driven to the magnificent Hai Van Pass, a road that climbs incredible, green-covered mountains that rise up straight from the coast.

The vehicle you’ll be riding in will be a Jeep that has been in use since the days of the Vietnam War, and is a unique way of crossing this iconic stretch of road.

Stop for lunch at a small hidden beach, then climb the pass, stopping for some unbelievable photo opportunities. You will stop at the top of the pass to drink in the incredible views along the coast, as well as at a few atmospheric ruins from the French colonial era and another beach for a cool off and a swim.

The drive to Hoi An lasts around 5 hours with all the stops, and after an epic day of travel we will drop you off at your accommodation in Hội An.

This is truly the best and the most unique way to travel across the country, but of course, if you simply want to experience the Hai Van Pass from Hue, we can easily drop you off back in Hue or Da Nang at the end of the tour.
