Get to know Saigon like a local. We'll guide you through winding alleyways, to bustling markets and to local, hidden gems so that you experience a classic morning in Ho Chi Minh City, exactly as the locals do.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel (fairly early admittedly) and head to a local park to watch this vibrant, diverse city stir into life. People-watch to your heart’s content, and meet a fairly niche, off the beaten track group of locals – bird enthusiasts. Take a look at some of the exotic birds these people have collected, and see a Ho Chi Minh community most tourists wouldn’t even hear about.

Then, it’s off to one of Saigon’s local ‘wet markets’, a market that sells perishable goods, exotic fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, as opposed to a ‘dry market’ which sells electronics, clothes etc.

Get in the midst of the morning bustle as residents go about their daily shop amongst the vibrant colours and scents of the market, before we take a lazy wander around medicine road, soaking in the atmosphere of the city.

We’ll visit Thien Hau Temple, an elaborately carved, beautifully detailed place of spirituality and an oasis of calm in the mania of the city streets. We’ll continue to stroll leisurely through the streets, taking in the sights, the sounds and the smells of daily life, before we settle at an authentic local for breakfast.

Tucked away from the main road in a little secret spot, you’ll enjoy a classic breakfast for this region of the city, as well as fresh coffee, so that you know exactly how the Ho Chi Minh residents fuel their day.

Then, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy! We will either drop you off back at your accommodation, or give you some recommendations on how to get the best out of the rest of your trip.
