Learn how to prepare some of the classics of Spanish gastronomy in this 4-hour hands-on cookery course.
You’ll have your own cooking station and the ingredients will be ready to be cooked. That way, you’ll only enjoy the fun side of cooking - no peeling or cutting unless there is a culinary technique to learn from it!
Meet us at 10 a.m at our premises in Uga. You’ll enjoy a welcome tea while our Chef explains the menu you’ll be preparing. Then, you’ll be handed your apron and will head out to the kitchens start cooking!
The menus are seasonal and include cocktail preparation – with or without alcohol – Iberian ham cut, starter, paella rice and dessert. Most of the ingredients are organic and locally grown.
In addition, the fish are bought from the local market, are not an endangered species and are caught using sustainable fishing techniques. Menus can be varied for special diets on request.
First, you will cook the dessert and the cocktail. Next, you’ll learn how to slice Iberian ham like a pro and how to make tomato bread to go with it. Once everything is ready, you will have a short break to enjoy tasting your cocktail, the Iberian ham you cut and the tomato bread you prepared.
If you wish, you can also take a walk through our vegetable garden and learn about the local techniques used to grow food in an arid land. After the break, you will cook the starter and rice for paella.
Once all your dishes are ready, you’ll sit and enjoy your meal with the other cooks. Takeaway is available for your leftovers (if any).
After the course, you will keep the apron as a souvenir. You will also receive an e-book with the recipes you have learnt.
You also will receive an alcoholic cocktail and local wine while cooking and eating.
