What you'll do

On this private tour of the beautiful Priorat region, you'll explore the vineyards and the award-winning wineries with an expert guide, on an exclusive and unique experience.

Priorat is one of the most stunning old-world wine regions known for Spain’s most sophisticated and sought-after red wines. The remote rocky hills of the Priorat are the birthplace of intense, mineral-filled, reds that many collectors consider to be Spain’s most elite wines.

Here’s what you’ll do:

09:30 Private guide and driver to pick you up from your hotel in Barcelona and depart for the beautiful, old-world village of Gratallops, Priorat (est. drive time of 2 hours)

11:30 Current vintage tasting at the award-winning winery Costers del Siurana with owner Carles Pastrana.

13:30 A la carte lunch at the excellent restaurant El Celler de Gratallops.

16:00 Vineyard Visit and Tasting at Clos Dominic, a relatively small endeavor that was created by Dominic Bairaguet and her husband Paco Castillo. They started making wine in 2002 with very limited equipment’. All they had were a couple of tanks and six barrels in the basement of their home that used to be a baker’s oven.

Clos Dominic remains the same small winery as its beginnings a decade ago, but their products still receive high recognition from the wine critics.

18:00 Depart for Barcelona (est. drive time of 2 hours) and drop off at the Hotel.

Originally from France, I have been lucky enough to have lived in two other countries, Holland and now Spain. My background & experience has always been in tourism, I studied it at university and have worked in the industry ever since, from tourism marketing to export management I have touched a variety of different areas. And I have travelled an incredible amount, from Europe, to Asia, to Africa, South America, whenever I get a bit of time, I go and see more of the world. After moving to Spain I decided to start offering these authentic, immersive experiences and began doing it full time in 2013, and I never looked back.

What our travellers are saying...

The day trip up to Priorat was just outstanding and we got a very good feel of how the wines are made and Sophie made sure that we not only learn about the wines, but also have fun and eat good food. Thank you again Sophie, we loved every minute and you made us feel very welcome and you also shared a lot of you knowledge about the area, wines and culture in general. Looking forward to maybe seeing you again sometime in Norway maybe:)

Inger

I would have given this 10 stars if I could. Our group booked 3 days of tours. During the planning stages, pre-trip, Sophie was by far the most responsive, most helpful with suggestions and the most professional. We knew before meeting her we were in great hands. Our days were filled with unique excursions to Tarragon, Montserrat (we convinced Sophie to ride the vehicular to the top ), amazing cava vineyard and two amazing vineyards specializing

Brandi

Sophie picked us up at our hotel in Barcelona at 8:30 am for a drive to a wine region I had been wanting to visit for a very long time. This trip was way beyond anything I could have hoped for. The countryside is spectacular and the two wineries we visited were each very different from one another as were the personalities and wines of each. Sophie was the glue that stuck it all together. This was not at "tire-kicker" wine tour. She was wonderful
