What you'll do

Escape to the Wilderness

Check-in at the centre and your host will lead you to your retreat. Once you’ve arrived at this amazing wilderness getaway, you can spend the day exploring the area and the beautiful woodland you’re immersed in, relax and have an outdoor BBQ, before going to sleep in your cosy, private Shepherd’s hut.

Rustic, quiet glamping experience, campfire & wood burner.

Each of the two hand built shepherd’s huts are located in a tranquil and private setting and have a comfortable sprung full-size double bed complete with hypoallergenic pillows and duvet covered in cosy brushed cotton linen.

Inside is a small wood burner, dresser, double ring gas cooking hob, plates, cutlery, pots and pans to provide a wonderful self-contained retreat.

Outside log seating and heavy-duty steel campfire with bbq skillet make for an authentic glamping experience.

Low voltage solar lighting makes this a truly off-grid low carbon holiday.

The Shepherd’s huts are hand-built in traditional style and fitted out with tastefully selected shabby chic interiors.

Each one is positioned with both visual and noise privacy affording a truly wild experience. Inside for comfort. Outside for wilderness.

Stable doors allow the outside in so you can enjoy the quiet sounds of resident wildlife or changing light in the forest fading to a brilliant dark sky of glittering stars.

White Water Rafting and Cliff Jumping

Be at the activity centre at 10:15am for an exhilarating 5 hours of white water rafting and cliff jumping (optional) on the River Findhorn.

You’ll experience breathtaking scenery and powerful rapids as you descend the lower Findhorn gorge for a true adventure junkie activity.

It’s one of the last main rivers untouched by man, and offers the best white water rafting adventure experience in the UK for both unparalleled scenery and exciting white water.

Afterwards, the day is yours to relax, cook, or get back out into the Highlands!

Tracey Lamb

Tracey loves adventure! That’s why she’s been doing this for over 9 years, she loves to have a laugh and Tracey and her team will keep you entertained during your adventure.

Outside of work, Tracey likes to walk her dog (Winston) and spend time with her family of two strapping boys David and Andrew as well as friends.

She is a keen advocate of line dancing and all things boot scootin (watch this space as she might just start running wooden adventure line dancing retreats in the near future!!!)

This wilderness retreat feels very remote yet is located only 8 miles south from the town of Forres in Moray which has a good number of restaurants, takeaways, and bars along with supermarkets and high street shopping.

Located just a short drive away from the Cairngorm Mountains or beaches and internationally award-winning coastline, you’ll find tons to do.

The rafting experience takes place on the River Findhorn, one of the last untouched rivers in the UK when it comes to human development.

The exact address and location of your retreat will be provided on your booking voucher.

An experience not to forget. You get a true taste of the Scottish Highland's beauty. A great mix between the thrill of the rapids and breath-taking scenery. The team made us all feel safe and welcomed, these lot are true professionals!
