What you'll do

Overview

The perfect getaway for an active couple, this weekend retreat sees you white water rafting the stunning River Findhorn, exploring the stunning wilderness of the Scottish Highlands, and relaxing in your very own secluded wilderness hideaway.

Located 8 miles from the nearest town, Forres, you’ll be able to truly immerse yourself in the wilderness of the Scottish Highlands, and enjoy an adventure holiday in the Scottish great outdoors that really helps you get away from it all.

The location as a whole is also a lesser-known destination but is quickly gaining popularity, thanks to its proximity to the mighty Cairngorm Mountains and the award-winning coastline of beautiful beaches, and the number of outdoor activities the region offers.

For the two nights that you are staying, you’ll be able to enjoy a rustic glamping experience in a hand-built shepherds hut, barbecuing and cooking outside, spending evenings by the crackling campfire under a sky of stars after a day of exploring the landscape.

On your full-day in the highlands, you’ll set out on the best year-round white water rafting experience in the UK on the beautiful River Findhorn, one of the last untouched rivers in the country. This experience, led by local expert guides and instructors, is combined with optional cliff jumping up to 30 feet, making it a truly exciting day out for an active couple.

The variation of the breath-taking landscapes you’ll be immersed in makes this experience truly unique, as your adventure flows through Scottish woodland, traditional farmland, dramatic towering gorges and rushing waterfalls, sweet-scented pine forests and windswept fells and mountains.

Spot red or roe deer, ospreys, buzzards and falcons, salmon and otters, grouse, pine marten and so much more in this absolute haven of wildlife as you explore the outdoors, then retreat to your cosy cabin, light the barbeque and the campfire, open a couple of beers and bask in the great outdoors in your unique accommodation.

Escape to the Wilderness

Check-in at the centre and your host will lead you to your retreat. Once you’ve arrived at this amazing wilderness getaway, you can spend the day exploring the area and the beautiful woodland you’re immersed in, relax and have an outdoor BBQ, before going to sleep in your cosy, private Shepherd’s hut.
