What you'll do

Explore one of Edinburgh's most up and coming neighbourhoods on it's buzziest days of the week, Saturday and Sunday, and enjoy a walking tour that will introduce you to the history of the area, as well as introducing you to a number of top quality local beers.

Escape the tourist and festival crowds and join us down at the Shore to hear the story of Leith’s transformation from port, to Trainspotting inspiration, on to today’s thriving food, drink and arts scene.

On your walking tour that explores the history of Leith through beer, enjoy a tutored tasting of locally made beers as you wander along the Water of Leith, the river that runs straight from the Pentland hills through the city and down to the shore.

Grab lunch at The Pitt, a buzzing independent street food market stocking beer from a brewery that’s been operating since 1705, and leave with an Edinburgh Beer Map that means no matter when you find yourself in the Scottish capital, you’ll always know where to find a decent pint.

In 2016 I had a couple of months between finishing one job and starting another so...I stood on the street in Edinburgh and asked people if they wanted to taste beers with me. People started asking me questions. I started doing some research and discovered Scotland had an incredible secret brewing history.

I did a storytelling course and brewed all the history and beer knowledge into "a dreamy mixture of beautiful beer tastings and history you won't find on any other tour." Today, I'm supported by the wonderful Alan, Colleen, Iain, Jamie, Mhairi , Taylor and Wag. Together, we tell the history of Scotland through beer on walking tours in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
