What you'll do

This tour will guide through the beautiful city of Edinburgh, whilst visiting some very important spots which inspired JK Rowling in the creation of Harry Potter.

We can never know what inspires an author, as their creativity comes from many different sources. During this walking tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town, you will discover all the legends and hidden spots of Edinburgh which surrounded and inspired JK Rowling.

Walk through the beautiful cobbled streets with an expert Harry Potter and Edinburgh guide, who will be there to answer any questions you may have.

Be sure to wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. Cloaks, wands and hats are of course recommended! Also be sure to check the weather and bring a raincoat or umbrella if necessary.
