What you'll do

This trip will allow you to see some of the hidden gems in Porto. You will be taken around in a motorcycle sidecar and will see some of the most important and historic areas and buildings in Porto, whilst learning all about local traditions and culture.

Starting at 10am, you will be picked up at your accommodation, where your adventure will begin! You will explore the city with your guide until lunch time.

The rhythm of the tour is slow-paced with time for plenty of conversation, historical facts and questions! There will also be lots of stops for photos and to enjoy the stunning views of Porto!

As you travel through the historical centre, you’ll see places like S. Bento station, Ribeira and the Stock Exchange Palace. You’ll also travel along the Douro river with its bridges, the Miragaia neighbourhood, all the way to the beach. This will allow you to understand the connection of the city’s history with the ocean.
After that, you’ll travel back again to the city centre, where you’ll explore the beautiful Crystal Palace and neighbourhoods like Virtudes, Vitória, and Clérigos. You’ll learn about the fascinating history of all these amazing places, and of course see the amazing views that Porto has to offer!

After that, you’ll cross to Gaia, on the other side of the river, see the D.Luis bridge and the Port wine neighbourhood before returning to Porto.

As the tour comes to a close, your guide will leave you at one the many amazing restaurants that you can find in Porto for lunch. (Lots of foodie recommendations included!)

We believe that the best way to get to know Porto is like a local – you will be able to choose how you want to do this and what exactly you want to see!

João Marques

My name is João, a certified Tourism Animator, Gentleman Rider and most importantly, in love with my city, her stories and importance in World history.

After a successful but not very fulfilling career in management and mechatronics engineering, I decided to create an experience that would allow me to work on and share my passions: my classic motorcycles and the love of my city.

I will be your private guide. Welcome!
