What you'll do

Get off the beaten track and stay in the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland, far from the bustle of modern life in your own private cottage. Disconnect from your daily life and routine for as long as you need, and spend your days hiking, fishing, or simply relaxing in the beautiful surroundings.

Arrive and check in to your private cottage, then spend the next few nights enjoying the peace and tranquility in this gorgeous corner of Northern Ireland.

If you need something to fill the days with, there is plenty on offer. Meander along Johnny’s Trail, planted with more than 23,000 native trees, listen to the singing birds and discover the pond, roundhouse and bushcraft area on your way.

Learn about the rich culture and heritage of the Ring of Guillon, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is steeped in myths and legends, there are countless ancient stories which have been retold around the campfire for centuries; from where Fíonn fell into the lake on top of the mountain and gained his grey hair to where Sétanta slew the hound and was thereafter named  Cúchulainn, the Hound of Ulster.

Your hosts have farmed here for years and are delighted to share their knowledge of the local area, the traditions and the famous craic for which the Irish are renowned.

The cosy cottage is stone built and has two floors

On the ground floor the cottage is equipped with a kitchen/ dining room including a wood burning stove, an oven and fridge, microwave toaster and kettle, and dining table.

There is a living room with sofa and TV.

One twin bedroom and the ‘wet room’ with shower and toilet are also on the ground floor.

Upstairs are two further bedrooms, both with twin beds.

What our travellers are saying...

This place is beautiful beyond belief! An oasis of natural relaxation in the heart of the lovely Ring of Gullion!! Our third time staying here and it gets better every time...our kids are already lobbying us to book the next trip :) We spent an eggsellent Easter weekend in the cottage, with our kids not wanting to leave the site there was so much for them to enjoy, from the play park to feeding the donkeys and goat to riding the ‘drumlin expre
