Overview

Explore the hidden treasures of the last European oasis of untouched nature across 8 days in a way like never before.

This adventure covers the most beautiful areas of Montenegro with the highest levels of biodiversity by visiting Lake Skadar National Park, Boka Bay, Budva Riviera and Southern Seaside.

On your tour you can expect to see some amazing wildlife, the most beautiful fjord outside Scandinavia and some truly untouched parts of the Adriatic Coast. You will be equipped with all the best kayaking gear and equipment in Montenegro and led by experience and certified adventure guides.

On top of all the activities and nature, you will also get to experience the Montenegrin culture first hand. Visit sites of historical, cultural and religious significance from museums to small town bars where you can try the best Montenegrin food and wine.

Wine and dining tour in Lake Skadar area

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by a driver who will take you to your hotel where you will check in and have some time to look around.

You then get straight into your first experience, you will be transferred to Meterizi Village for a traditional wine tasting and food tasting. You will get the chance to try some of the best local and authentic food and wine in the country. Whilst learning about the culture and traditions of the country. Following the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel in Podgorica where you will have the rest of the evening to relax.

This 4-star hotel situated in city centre, close to lots of local vars and restaurants is the perfect base for your stay in Podgorica . It offers truly luxurious service, from nice rooms, excellent restaurant with terrace to wellness centre that works within the hotel.

Kayaking from Žabljak Crnojevića to Virpazar

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred Žabljak Crnojevića for the start of your kayaking experience.

The day start with the visit of an ancient castle that had been a capital of medieval Montenegrin country. Settled on the top of small hill, it will make you enjoy fantastic view of the most of the Lake’s area, listening stories from the past of this small, but proud country.

Your kayaking starts on a small river that will bring us to the Lake, meandering through long fields of water-lilies, old picturesque villages and dense forests of willows. It’s a great opportunity to explore the vast bird life in Montenegro in 270 different species of them in the National park.

Length of the route is about 16 km, duration is about 4 hours which includes paddling and all the breaks.

You will spend the night in Podgorica, explore the town more and head out to one of the local restaurants for dinner.

Kayaking on Lake Skadar

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred Pješačac Beach in Lake Skadar National Park.

You will kayak through wide and calm waters,  visit prison island of Grmožur and enjoy the stunning views of the Albanian corner of the Lake and high peaks of Prokletije Mountains. You stop for lunch in a fisherman village on the shore of the lake, for a nice fresh fish meal.

The highlight of today has got to be Murići Islands. Not only are they visually beautiful and host a bunch of wildlife and vegetation, they keep secrets of medieval times. You visit the biggest and the most beautiful of the three 14th century monasteries, Beška Monastery.

After your tour, you are transferred back to your hotel where you can have dinner or head into town again for dinner and a well earned rest afterwards.

Cultural tour to Cetinje, Lovćen NP and Boka Bay

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Cetinje to have a day off the kayaking by the seaside visiting some of the historical sites in the country.

Visit Old Royal Capitol Cetinje, the heart of Montenegrin culture, a charming small town in southern highlands with plenty of museums, palaces and monuments, as well as parks, nice bars and restaurants. You will be visiting the Museum of King Nikola, where you will learn about the historic figure and his significance in Montenegro.

After lunch, you visit Lovcen Mausoleum. The highest in the world sitting at 1,660m above sea level. It is dedicated to Petar II Petrovic Njegoš, a Montenegrin ruler and bishop from the first half of 19th century. With beautiful views of Boka Bay on the Adriatic Coast, it is a must visit location in Montenegro.

Following this, you are transferred to Kotor where you will check in at your hotel and have the rest of the day to do what you would like.

In Dobrota (2 km from the Old Town) and only 150 meters from the beach, this hotel is one of the best 4-star accommodations in Kotor area. Alkima hotel offers immaculate rooms, tasty food as well as spa/wellness centre service and swimming pool.

It is also close to lots of bars, restaurants and cafes for you to explore and taste some authentic Montenegrin food and drinks.

 

 

Kayaking from Kotor to Risan

Head down to the beach to start your day of kayaking. The tour starts near the Old Town as you head towards Boka Bay.

Although this area is one of the busiest tourist destinations in Montenegro, you simply can’t miss it out. The beautiful architecture on the land from the renaissance period mixed with the Mediterranean charm, it’s a must see.

The trip will take you to Perast “a town of a thousand palaces” one of the most beautiful towns in the country. Your trip will end in Risan, the capital of ancient Illyrian queen Teuta and her pirates. There you visit an archaeological site with amazing Roman mosaics.

Following this, you will transferred back to you hotel in Kotor, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening and a traditional dinner at a local restaurant or the hotel.

Kayaking from Sveti Stefan to Maljevik Beach

Today, your tour starts with a transfer to the Budva Municipality, the most beautiful part of the Montenegrin coast. The tour lasts around 6 hours and is about 23km – this can be made shorter upon request.

Your kayak starts on the famous island of Sveti Stefan, the most luxurious resort in this part of the world. You will pass beautiful bays, cliffs and villages. You can expect to see some sites of real importance in Montenegro like the Church of Sveta Neđelja and many breath taking sights across the day.

You will then be transferred to your hotel to relax after a long day of paddling.

Kayaking from Utjeha to Old Town Ulcinj

Your last kayak tour of the trip a 4 hour and 17km kayak starts from Ujetha, the last populated place in the Bar municipality before 15 km of untouched coast.

You will pass through Crystal Beach the most beautiful beach in Montenegro, the island of Stari Ulcinj and the Bay of Olives. Before ending up in Old Town Ulcinj Fort. You will then be transferred back to Old Town Bar for a last dinner in this beautiful country. Explore the town for one last time and go for a well earned drink at a local bar after dinner.

Departure
