What you'll do

Overview

Discover the very best of Kenya in 10 days, on this bucket list safari holiday that takes you from the world's most essential safari location, the Masai Mara, to the off the beaten track tranquility of Tvaso National Park. At the end of your time spotting lions, elephants, rhinos and more, there is time to relax on the golden-sand beaches of Mombasa.

Arrive in Nairobi, where you’ll be taken directly to your hotel in the capital for a chance to relax, refresh, and get some rest before your wildlife holiday in Kenya begins in earnest. From Nairobi, you’ll fly to the Masai Mara and transfer to your remote, luxurious safari camp.

Over the next few days, you’ll explore 1500 square kilometres of open grassland and panoramic views in search of cheetah, giraffe, zebra, the Big 5, and if you time your trip right, then the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration.

Enjoy game drives and walks with expert guides who can read the landscape for signs of wildlife, as well as memorable night walks and bush meals under a sky blanketed with countless stars. Once your time in the Mara comes to an end, you’ll transfer to the lesser-known Tsavo National Park in the east of the country.

Your camp here is situated in the Mbuila Hills, with beautiful views across the Mbuila Conservancy, Mount Kilimanjaro looming in the distance. Here, you’ll spend your days enjoying a more authentic, off the beaten track safari experience, seeking out pods of hippo and sleeping crocodile, beautiful birdlife and the ubiquitous mane-less lions that patrol the park.

You’ll also enjoy night time game drives, get a chance to experience truly authentic Kenyan culture with a visit to local Taita tribe villages and a unique bush bath experience. Finally, you’ll transfer by road to your final stop on your Kenyan adventure, a beautiful Swahili-influenced gem of a hotel, perched between untamed jungle and the warm Indian Ocean.

Spend your last couple of nights luxuriating by the sea, a chance to unwind after a whirlwind adventure that has shown you both the highlights of this wildlife paradise, as well as some of Kenya’s hidden gems.

Off The Beaten Track Kenya
