Exploring Venice with a delicious chocolate tasting

After breakfast, enjoy your morning at leisure to discover Venice, an open-air museum which seems to float on the lagoon, giving it the name ‘floating city’.

The entirely walkable city is characterised by its gorgeous narrow and cobbled streets, as well as its stunning bridges across the canal. You will get lost in the beauty of Venice!

In the afternoon, you will be visiting a Venetian chocolatier. Here, you will be treating yourself with a chocolate tasting at the greatest Venetian maître chocolatier artisan workshop. This includes all delicious forms chocolate can come in: dragées, chocolate glazes, sprinkles, truffles, hot or cold chocolate to drink.

You will be discovering the chocolate tradition, which dates back more than three centuries. The first “coffee
and chocolate workshops” were founded here in Venice, making this experience even more authentic (and delicious)!

The rest of the afternoon and evening will be spent at your leisure. It is recommended you try out local restaurants, as Venice is famous for its delicious cuisine!

After breakfast you will be meeting your local guide to visit the symbol of Venice: the gorgeous Doge’s Palace. Doge’s Palace is a true masterpiece of Venetian Gothic architecture and former residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the Venetian Republic.

Its structure is stratified: the stunning ancient foundations, the overall iconic fourteenth-fifteenth century layout, the conspicuous Renaissance inserts, and even the sumptuous mannerist signs. This is the symbol of Venice for a reason!

At the end, take a walking tour of the surrounding promenades and canals, and reach the heart of the city: Piazza San Marco and the self-titled Basilica, with its five domes.

You can also immerse yourself into the beauty of Venice by discovering many other areas of the town, such as Dorsoduro or Cannaregio.

In the afternoon you will be ending your time in Venice, leaving to go back home.
