What you'll do

Enjoy learning to cook authentic Italian dishes in the countryside with a local expert. Come back and show your friends and family all the new skills and techniques you've perfected by treating them to some amazing meals!

Enjoy a day out on a local farm and discover the regional Italian cuisine of the Umbrian countryside. This cooking course will take place on a family owned organic farm.

Start off the day with a tour of the farm and meet all the lovely farm animals and learn about all the seasonal products. Your host will teach you all about the growing techniques they use and how the climate effects their produce.

Then head over to the orchard and the garden to select the veggies you will be using as part of your evening meal. The cooking class will be led by a local chef who will teach you how to make home-made pasta and some other region specialties.

– – Be sure to pay attention to her tips and tricks because you will be eating what you make for dinner – so make sure you don’t mess it up! Your dinner will be paired with some amazing local wines grown in the region.

Unfortunately, after dinner it will be time to say your goodbyes. But you will have some great new recipes and memories to take away with you.

I set up a business in Umbria with my boyfriend because we were both working as tour leaders and we wanted to settle down. He is the cyclist, while I'm very interested in Italian food and wine culture. We chose Umbria as our home. We love the quietness and the beautiful green countryside and amazing food. Sustainability is something that we are very interested in particularly in regard to tourism. We definitely wanted to do the tours with bikes and do things local so that we could uphold these values. We realised that combining these values could create something nice and something that people can truly enjoy.
