Enjoy a full-day tour of Tuscany villages and wine regions from Siena and travel into the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Visit the town of San Gimignano, the wine territory of Chianti and the Montalcino fortress.
Your tour starts off in Siena with a visit to San Gimignano, ‘the city of a hundred towers’ and a UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage site. Enjoy some time in the towns historical centre, and explore the many artisan shops, market stalls and millenarian palazzos. San Gimignano is also the birthplace of Vernaccia, a white wine produced exclusively there, famous for its quality.
After the morning exploring San Gimignano, you will be transferred to a winery in Chianti. Explore the grounds and take in the amazing views before having a traditional Italian lunch made up of a selection of salami, cheeses and other local products. Of course, your lunch will be accompanied with some Chianti wine.
You day continues with a visit to Val d’Orcia, anpther jewel of the Tuscan countryside. Then, you will travel to Montalcino, which from its hill has views of the 1500 hectares of Brunello vineyards that have contributed making the area world-famous.
The last stop will be in a local wine cellar where we will taste the renowned Brunello of Montalcino, which finds its place among the first Italian DOCG wines. We will visit the wine cellar and also taste typical local products. Before heading back to Siena to be dropped off.
