Combine Italian language lessons with an Italian cooking masterclass course and immerse yourself in the local culture and take home two new skills that will stay with you long after your trip is over.

Whatever your level, from beginner to advanced, choosing to learn Italian in the wonderful city of Florence is the best way to accelerate your learning experience.

Taught by highly qualified native Italian speakers who have a passion for teaching, your language lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Italian from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom.

Twice a week, be prepared to don your apron for your hands-on Italian cooking lessons. This is ideal for those who want to deepen the techniques of preparing traditional Italian dishes in a more intimate environment with the close assistance of a professional cook.

A Typical Day

Italian language classes
– Classes run daily Monday to Friday each week
– Classes start at 9am each day
– You will have 4 group classes a day lasing 50 minutes each
– You will have a short mid morning coffee break

Italian cooking
– Cooking lessons will take place twice a week, in two 2.5 hour sessions
– The times and place will be confirmed on arrival at the language school
– At the end of each cooking lesson you will eat the food that has been prepared during the lesson

What can I do in my free time?

Many people on these holiday courses travel solo as they make perfect singles holidays so the language school organises a host of social and cultural activities each week to help you to get to know your fellow classmates and to integrate you into the Italian way of life, some activities are free and others have a small charge and may include:
– free activities include walking tours of Florence every Monday, Italian films, five-aside football, sports, visits to nightclubs and much more
– optional excursions can be arranged for activities such as olive oil tasting, additional  cooking lessons, cinema visits, group dinners, a Chianti tour, wine tasting, museum visits and longer weekend excursions to the beaches and other cities
– you will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on this learning holiday with a difference

Where can I stay?
You’re welcome to make your own arrangements so you can pick accommodation to suit your needs, however, optional accommodation can be booked in addition to your language course with a local host family or in a shared apartment with other students and locals. You can simply add your preferred option to your booking (for an additional charge) and more information about the two options can be found in the FAQs section at the bottom of the page.

Who is it suitable for?

When can I start?

- The school is open year round with a break for Christmas
- Classes start on Mondays throughout the year for elementary language levels and above
- Beginner Italian language learners must start on specific start dates
- If you book the optional accommodation with this learning holiday, you’ll check-in on Sunday before the course starts and check out on the Saturday after

Language level test

- Please arrive at the school by 8.30am on your first day for a short language level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level

Is there optional school accommodation?

This language school offers optional accommodation in a host family or a shared apartment with other students and locals. You can simply add your preferred option to your booking.

Host family

Choose a home stay with a local family to enhance your language learning experience. All hosts are sociable, like to meet new people and can give a warm welcome to students giving you the opportunity to practice your language skills on a daily basis. You will have your own private room and will share a bathroom. Rooms are safe, clean and are all inspected and approved by the school on a regular basis. You will have a choice of booking bed and breakfast or bed, breakfast and dinner and room prices run from Sunday evening before your course starts to the Saturday morning after your course has finished. There is WiFi and bedding and towels are provided as well as one load of washing per week. If you have any special requests such as non-smoking, no pets, allergies and so on, please contact us. These requests will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed. PLEASE NOTE: special diets will incur a supplement of €30 per week. Use of the kitchen is not allowed.

City Centre Shared Apartment

Stay in an apartment shared with other students or locals. You will have your own room and will share a kitchen and bathroom. Rooms are safe and clean and all apartments are regularly inspected by the school. There is WiFi and a washing machine and bedding and towels are provided. Prices are based on arrivals on the Sunday evening before your course starts and end on the Saturday morning after your course has finished. All apartments are within a 20 minute walk to the school. Please note that students are required to keep all common areas clean. NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: tourist tax of €3.50 per night for the first 7 nights, per person (paid locally).
