Go learn to speak Italian at this friendly school in Sorrento on this 1 week Italian language course suitable for elementary to advanced learners; you'll be amazed at how much you pick up when learning Italian in Italy as you put your lessons in to practice outside of the classroom each day.

You will be taught by highly qualified native Italian speakers who have a passion for teaching and use proven teaching techniques.

Lessons are highly interactive and you will speak Italian from day 1 both inside and outside of the classroom. Focusing on the four main language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, each day will see you increasing in confidence.

A Typical Day

– Classes run daily Monday through to Friday each week
– Classes start at 9am each day and finish at 12.40pm
– You will have 4 group classes per day lasting 50 minutes each
– You will have a short mid morning coffee break

– The school offers a host of optional cultural activities and lectures throughout the week
– At the end of the school day, the teachers are happy to take students out for coffee
– Optional excursions can be arranged to Capri, Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast
– You will have plenty of free time to explore the local area and practice your new found language skills or just kick back and relax on the stunning beach on this learning holiday with a difference

Where can I stay?
You’re welcome to make your own arrangements so you can pick accommodation to suit your needs, however, optional accommodation can be booked in addition to your language course with a local host family or in the student residence. You can simply add your preferred option to your booking (for an additional charge) and more information about the two options can be found in the FAQs section at the bottom of the page.

FAQs

Who is it suitable for?

- Suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced
- Minimum age 18

When can I start?

- The school is open year round with a break for Christmas
- Classes start on Mondays throughout the year for elementary language levels and above
- Beginner Italian language learners must start on specific start dates
- If you book the optional accommodation with this learning holiday, you’ll check-in on Sunday before the course starts and check out on the Saturday after

Italian language level test

- Please arrive at the school by 8.30am on your first day for a short level test
- This test will assess your understanding of the language and will help the course organisers to place you in the right group class for your level

Please note that there are no classes on the following days due to national holidays:

From around 18 December - 6 January the school will be closed for the Christmas holidays each year.

There will be no lessons on these days nor refund of fees.

More about the optional accommodation

Host family

Stay with a local family to enhance your language learning experience. All hosts are sociable, like to meet new people and can give a warm welcome to students. You will have your own private room giving you the opportunity to practice your language skills on a daily basis. Rooms are safe and clean. You will be provided with certain meals each day depending on what has been booked and room prices run from Sunday before your course starts to the Saturday after your course has finished. Your accommodation will be located within 30 minutes' walking distance or 25 minutes via public transport to the school. All accommodation is inspected and approved by the school on a regular basis. If you have any special requests such as non-smoking, no pets, vegetarian and so on, please note these in the special requests box during the booking process. These requests are noted and will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Student Residence Hall

Stay in the Student Residence Hall which has 23 bedrooms (19 twins and 4 triples), for a total number of 50 students that can be accommodated. Two students travelling together can share a room or solo travellers can book a twin room for private use. Solo travellers cannot share with another solo traveller. Each bedroom contains 2 or 3 single beds, desks, chairs, wardrobe, night table, lamp, mini fridge, wireless and cable internet connection. Sea-view rooms feature a window and some garden-view rooms feature a balcony (requests are not possible). Blankets, bed linen and pillows will be provided (one set per person), as well as towels. Air-conditioning is present in all bedrooms. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and hot water. There are laundry facilities in the building and the washing machine and dryer are coin-operated. There are also fully equipped kitchens were you can prepare your own meals. Prices are based on arrivals on the Sunday afternoon before your course starts and end on the Saturday morning after your course has finished. The residence is located in the same building as the language school.

Please note that there is a government tourist tax of €3 per person per day imposed on all tourist accommodation. This must be paid on arrival at your accommodation, and cannot be pre - paid.
