Overview

Stay in a junior suite in a beautiful house overlooking Lake Garda near the town of Torri del Benaco for 2 nights and learn to cook delicious Italian food during a hands-on cooking lesson in a professional restaurant kitchen for a relaxing Italian cookery break with a difference.

Combine a stay in the hills overlooking the beautiful Lake Garda with a hands-on cooking class in Albisano where you will learn to cook authentic Italian food in a professional restaurant kitchen for an Italian cooking break with a difference.

You’ll spend 2 nights / 3 days in the lovely house overlooking Lake Garda, ideally located near one of  Lake Garda’s most historic towns. You will enjoy beautiful views over the countryside and surrounding Lake Garda.

You’ll spend 1 morning in a professional restaurant kitchen learning to cook a host of Italian dishes with Chef Andrea during a hands-on cookery lesson. After the lesson, you will sit down to enjoy the delicious food you have prepared with local wines as you enjoy spectacular lake views.

Accommodation is on the top floor of the house where the cookery school is also located. The junior suite offers beautiful and newly renovated facilities and balconies where you can admire the stunning lake as you enjoy your breakfast on this stunning cooking holiday in Italy.

Please note there is no availability until September 2022.

Accommodation

You’ll stay in a beautiful junior suite on the top floor of the house where the restaurant and cookery school are located. The junior suite is newly renovated and will provide you with a spacious well-equipped room to relax in during your trip.

At 40 square metres and decorated in a Provencal style, the suite features a private entrance, private bathroom, WiFi, heating, two balconies and a private covered parking space. Room service breakfast is provided for you to enjoy in your room or on the balcony.

Alternatively, if the junior suite is unavailable on your dates, there may be availability in Hotel Marina; this charming 16 roomed hotel is just a 5 minute drive or taxi ride from the cooking school in Torri del Benaco just 100 metres from the beautiful Lake Garda shore and a stone’s throw from Lake Enrica, the dedicated swimming area of the lake.

Learn to Cook

– Enjoy breakfast in your room or on the balcony before heading downstairs to the restaurant kitchen for your cooking lessons with Chef Andrea
– Your cooking lesson starts at 9.30am and finishes around 2.30pm after you’ve eaten the lunch you’ve learned to cook
– You’ll focus on learning to make a 3 course Italian meal
– Once you’ve cooked, you’ll sit down to enjoy a lunch accompanied by a glass or two of wine finished with a good Italian coffee
– The afternoon and evening are free for you to relax or explore Lake Garda

Departure

– After breakfast, guests are asked to check-out of their room ready for departure taking home with them new cooking skills from the Lake Garda area

Chef Andrea & Lara

Chef Andrea and his wife Lara run a restaurant, cooking school and accommodation on Lake Garda in northern Italy. They have a passion for teaching restaurant standard Italian cuisine in a relaxed and fun way using only the freshest, seasonal produce much of which is sourced from local producers.

You’ll be taught to cook by Chef Andrea who has been cooking Italian food professionally for many years as well as head chef of his own restaurant. Lara will also be on hand to ensure your stay with them runs smoothly.

Location

You’ll stay in a pretty, newly renovated junior suite right above the cookery school with spectacular views of Lake Garda. Located near the historical Torri del Benaco, a lovely town on the shores of the clear blue waters of Lake Garda just 100 metres from the beautiful beach, learn to cook in a professional restaurant kitchen with friendly and professional Chef Andrea and host Lara.

Torri del Benaco is ideally positioned for exploring Lake Garda. A car-ferry operates frequently taking you to the western shore where you can explore historic lakeside villages. The eastern side of the lake is dominated by the magnificent Monte Baldo, also known as ‘The Garden of Europe’ where an ultra modern cable-car takes you to the top of the mountain in just a few minutes.

The cookery school is situated in a small village called Albisano which is on Lake Garda.

Who is it suitable for?
