What you'll do

Overview

For a shorter escape, combine Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and the Wild Atlantic Way to experience some of Ireland’s best-kept secrets with some of the well-known hotspots.

Experience this five-day immersive experience collecting and dropping off from Dublin airport or city centre. Enjoy the real Ireland off-the-beaten-track as well as some of the unmissable highlights with a visit to Clonmacnoise, a boat trip on the River Shannon, and explore Ireland’s deserted medieval town.

Stare over the edge of the legendary Cliffs of Moher on the Wild Atlantic Way, meander through the medieval streets of Galway, and pull into the oldest bar in Ireland and try an Irish Coffee. Along the way you will hear legends and stories only a local can tell and see the wildlife of the ancient bogland for which the region is famous. To really bring out the flavours of Ireland, we have included a farm to fork cooking experience on a traditional working farm.

This is pure Ireland at its best!

Dublin departure

Escape the hustle and bustle of Dublin as we transport you by luxury minicoach, complete with your friendly entertaining guide, to the Heart of Ireland. Discover local crafts, explore the ethereal deserted medieval town of Rindoon and walk around the picturesque peninsula. Marvel at the dramatic ancient bog trackway at Corlea and explore the pathways through the wetlands area around the lake, for which the region is famed. Sample some locally made spirits and taste some traditional Irish fayre, followed by traditional storytelling and song from a seannachi (storyteller).

Cliffs of Moher and Irish touring

Venture west to discover two of the main highlights of the Wild Atlantic Way: the Cliffs of Moher and the vibrant medieval city of Galway. Breath in the bracing Atlantic air and marvel at the world-famous natural phenomenon. Meander through the lively streets of Galway city down to the quay and the Spanish Arch, and visit the medieval church where Christopher Columbus stopped on his way to America.

Situated on the banks of the River Shannon, Clonmacnoise was founded by St Ciaran in the 6th century and for over 1500 years has been a centre of pilgrimage and learning. See the spectacular high crosses dating from 8-10th centuries, two round towers and the remains of 7 stone churches dating from 10th century. My business came from our experiences of group travel in Ireland. We saw groups loading suitcases on to a bus at 6am, we saw groups spending hours on buses to be led to overcrowded sites to fulfil unrealistic itineraries. This is not a holiday and we knew it didn’t need to be like this. We are a family business and have over thirty years' experience in travel and tourism in Ireland.
