Overview
An Icelandic Spa experience you will never forget. Soak in nature's best outdoor spas and take in the awe inspiring views. Relax and de-stress, enjoy the thermal waters and healing minerals with a glass of bubbly! Take a walk through Reykjavik city, try the local cuisine and search for the Northern Lights!
This trip is based in the beautiful city of Reykjavik.
You will be met by your driver and your first stop is the natural wonder – the Blue Lagoon. The perfect way to begin your relaxing break in beautiful Iceland. Soak away the stress and get into the holiday mood. Enjoy a drink from the swim up bar as you meander through the vast lagoon, and try a silica face mask which will leave your skin silky smooth.
Towels are provided, so just pack your swimwear in your hand luggage.
From the Blue Lagoon you will drive to the Hotel in Reykjavik where you can unpack and relax before your evenings outing; a relaxed food walk around Reykjavik. This is great introduction to the city and chance for you to learn a little about Iceland’s history and culture. Your local guide will help you to get your bearings, show you the best places to eat and drink and you will sample some of the delicious locally sourced Icelandic food. This includes wonderful fresh seafood of course, but also local lamb dishes, tasty locally grown vegetables and deserts! You’ll even get to try some local beer.
The next day you will be collected for your visit to the Sky Lagoon, a wonderful outdoor lagoon overlooking the Atlantic ocean. A totally different experience from the Blue lagoon – the water here is clear, not Blue and the Lagoon, though large feels more intimate , enclosed in the black volcanic rocks. There is a swim up bar so you can enjoy a holiday toast and a ritual room to experience the seven steps to relaxation – including an awe inspiring glass walled sauna overlooking the sea.
In the evening you will have chance to search for the Northern Lights on a cruise leaving from Reykjavik Harbour after dinner. The best place to see the Aurora Borealis is at sea where there is no light pollution. Your boat has an indoor saloon with seating and a bar where drinks and snacks can be purchased, it also has three outdoor viewing platforms from which you can see the lights and take photos, when they appear. The captain is an expert at searching for the right spot to see the lights and will give you expert commentary. On board warm waterproof overalls are available for you to borrow.
Your third day is yours to spend as you wish. You have access to the hotel’s amazing indoor spa with hot tubs, sauna and steam bath as well as treatment rooms and relaxing rooms, or you can opt for a more adventurous day with a trip to the Golden Circle where you can visit the thunderous high waterfalls, Geothermal Geysers and go snow-mobiling on the glacier ( this is an optional trip with extra charge)
