Overview

A week to immerse yourself in a range of mixed activities on the stunning island of Poros. This week provides you with the opportunity to participate in a range of activities such as sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), cycling and walking.

Spend a week on the stunning island of Poros, where you’ll be able to take part in a number of guided activities where you’ll be able to immerse yourself in true island life.

Throughout the week you’ll take part in a number of guided activities including sea kayaking, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), cycling and guided walks.

You’ll be staying at a beautiful B&B right by the sea, which has spectacular views of the ocean and will provide the perfect relaxing atmosphere after your day’s activity.

We believe there’s no better way to experience Poros! This is an experience not to be missed.

Kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Cycling and Guided walks

Your days will begin with a delicious breakfast provided by your hosts, and afterwards your daily activities will begin!

The itinerary for the week will largely be determined by the weather forecast, and there will be a meeting the on the arrival evening to discuss the weekly and daily itinerary.     

Throughout the week there will be:

2 days guided sea kayaking from 10.00 am to 4pm ( 6 hours)   2 x 2 hour sessions (SUP) Stand up paddle boarding. 2 x 3 hour sessions cycling  2 x 3 hour guided walks.  

In the evenings you’ll be able to relax, swim in the sea and explore the local town of Poros.

There are numerous tavernas that you can visit, and your hosts will be more than happy to provide you with recommendations.

Check in is at 4pm on the arrival date, and departure is on Saturdays only.

Brian

Brian spent around 15 years working in Community Development and Social Work for various public and private agencies and always had a serious interest in outdoor education and skills. He has achieved various coaching certificates and in 2005 decided to put his skills to good use in his own business, with his passion for the outdoors, in particular around his home on the west coast of Scotland and his 'second home' Greece.

Brian runs several trips in Scotland and in Greece, during the year, coordinating activities for both regions, and has a deep knowledge of both locations, the people, places, culture, food and recipes, and will be very excited to meet you and share his knowledge and love of each country with you.

Location

Poros is a beautiful Greek island situated in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf. It is famous for its stunning scenery and mountainous landscape, and is the perfect place to immerse yourself in true Greek tranquility.

Check in on Saturday, the arrival day, is 4pm.

When booking flights to Greece please be aware that the last ferry to Poros is normally around 6.00pm and the first ferry from Poros is 8.00am, there is more information about getting to Poros in the FAQ section below.

 

FAQs

How do I get to Poros Island?

Arriving at Athens Airport you can take a bus or a taxi to Piraeus port.
The buses depart just outside the arrivals terminal , and taxis can also be found here.
Taxis take around 40 mins and are around €80, the bus ticket is €6 and the journey takes 1h 20mins
There are ferries running to Poros from Piraeus usually between 08:00 and 19:30.
The journey takes around 1h 15 min
From Poros port to the hotel is around a 10 minute taxi ride. Taxis can be found on the port side.
For the return journey Ferries from Poros to Piraeus depart between approximately 0800 and 1800.
Alternatively a taxi can be arranged for the transfer from Athens Airport to the hotel. This takes the longer road route and includes a short ferry ride (5 mins) The whole journey is around 3 hours and costs around €140 euros pp one way. Please ask at time of booking if you would like us to book this for you.
