Overview

Head to Corfu for 8 days of relaxing in the sun on one of the islands many beautiful beaches, time out for a guided bike ride and tasting exquisite local food and wine.

*based on 2 people travelling in low season in a double/twin room

The Greek island of Corfu is defined by rugged mountains and a resort-studded shoreline. Its cultural heritage reflects years spent under Venetian, French and British rule, its hospitality is unmistakably Greek. On this 8 day holiday, perfect for a family or group of friends, you will discover the beautiful island of Corfu like a local.

You’ll discover the hidden gems as you local guide takes you cycling through Corfu town, helping you get under the skin of the islands history and culture as you uncover ancient, churches, and epic viewpoints and the best local ouzeries and tavernas.

Enjoy a culinary day as you head to one of the oldest wineries in Greece, stroll through the vineyards and taste some of the country’s finest wines, as well as olive oil processed on-site, with fresh Greek snacks to complement them.

With plenty of free time to relax and discover at your own pace, this is the perfect holiday for those on the hunt for a relaxing week away, whilst enjoying some unique activities that truly get you to grips with Corfu culture.

Arrival Day

Your holiday begins when you arrive at Corfu airport, where you will be picked up by your driver and taken directly to your hotel where you can relax, refresh, and either enjoy some free time exploring the local area or simply relax in the hotel.

If you arrive early, your host will be happy to provide you with recommendations on what to do once you are settled in your hotel. Tomorrow, your adventure on the island of Corfu begins!

A small fine hotel in Corfu, situated in the beautiful summer resort town of Dassia. Only 100 meters away from a sandy, shallow beach with crystal blue waters, safe for children, and ideal for swimming and water sports.

The boutique hotel has an elegant atmosphere and stylish double and family rooms, among gardens with blooming flowers and trees, you can find the swimming pool, outdoor jacuzzi,  fully equipped fitness centre, and modern spa.

The elegant main restaurant serves American buffet breakfast and delicious choices from the Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.

The lounge bar and the pool bar offer delicious cold and hot dishes and refreshing drinks to our guests.

Bike Tour of Corfu Town

On your first full day in Corfu you will set off for Corfu town with your local guide and at the port you will pick up your bikes and helmets for your cycle tour of Corfu town.

This tour will give you a great orientation of the town and lots of information about the island, its history, the people, culture and cuisine.

The ride will take you through narrow alleys built during the middle ages, and you’ll admire the beautiful old Venetian style of the buildings, you’ll also see the two Venetian fortresses of the town.

You will venture outside the main streets to visit the temples of “Diana”, “Hera” & “Apollo” from the 6th century B.C. and visit two of the oldest Christian churches on the island, one functional and one ruined.

Just by the city walls you will see more ancient temples and the oldest monastery on the island, Saint Theodorous. You will cycle to the canon, and take in the famous view over ‘Mouse Island’ the former Palace of the King of Greece, lush, green hillsides full of thousands of different plants, and of course the former British Governor’s Palace.

You will cycle back by the famous ‘liston’ and there will be the opportunity to stop for a coffee before heading back to the hotel.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel, and the rest of the day will be at leisure.

Free Day

Today, feel free to explore Corfu at your own pace. Wander the old town, using the local knowledge you gained yesterday to seek out the best tavernas, the most authentic restaurants, and more hidden gems dotted around the winding streets.

You could also head to the beach for a day, Corfu boasts some of the very best golden stretches of sand in the country, or simply choose to relax by the pool  or enjoy the spa in your hotel.

A Local Wine and Olive Oil Experience

Today you will picked up from your hotel and get transferred to the Theotoky Estate, one of the oldest wineries in Greece that has been producing high quality wines for over 130 years.

All their produce is made using organic and biodynamic protocols, using modern technology, but with respect for tradition.

They produce dry white, red and rosé wine as well as extra virgin olive oil, and they have won many international awards including the Organic Winery of the Year Award 2020.

During your visit, enjoy a tour of the estate where you’ll stroll though the vineyards and explore the cellar of the winery. During the tour, your guide will  tell you about the history of the estate and describe the process of the production of wine and olive oil, from the harvest to the final sale.

Enjoy a small buffet outside the winery under the shade of the trees, or inside the cellar, including wine (at least 2 different wines) and olive oil for tasting, accompanied by tomato salad, olives, feta, bread and local salami.

At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Relax on your final few days in Corfu, perhaps enjoy some beach hopping, heading out on an SUP or kayak, or exploring the small, authentic villages that lie off the beaten track on Corfu.

Your host will be more than happy to provide you with recommendations for the rest of your trip, no matter what you want to do, so that you can make the very best of your precious time you still have on this Greek island paradise.

Departure Day

On your final day in Corfu, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport at whatever time you need in order to catch your flight.

We hope you have had an amazing time with us and have had experiences you feel you would never have had if you’d travelled alone, and we hope to welcome you back to Corfu again!

Location

Your tour takes place on the island of Corfu, situated just off northwest mainland Greece. Whilst there, you’ll explore the main town of Corfu, as well as getting into the hillsides for a wine tour at one of Greece’s oldest wineries.

You’ll be picked up from Corfu airport at the start of your tour and taken directly to you accommodation in the quaint seaside village of Dassia, where you will be picked up at the end of your holiday for your return transfer to the aiport.
