Overview

Enjoy 5 days in iconic Santorini and 5 days in picturesque Crete. Enjoy a relaxing boat trip,You will get the chance to embark on a boat tour, go snorkelling and taste the amazing local food and wine, which makes for the perfect trip to Greece!

Santorini is famous for its volcanic beaches, breath taking scenery and amazing locally grown wine. Rethymnon, Crete is one of the most picturesque cities in Greece, surrounded by blue-flag beaches and small traditional Cretan villages.

You will stay in stunning boutique hotels and take tours to see the authentic side of these popular destinations. Getting off the beaten track and having a truly unforgettable holiday.

Experience the famous Santorini sunset, sail the Aegean Sea by catamaran with stops to snorkel and see the amazing sea life, taste traditional Greek cuisine and local wines and visit some of Crete’s most famous beaches.

Arrival in Santorini

Upon arrival at Santorini international airport, you will be greeted by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel.

After checking in to the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to relax on the beach and enjoy your first taste of the Greek sun.

Located just a short walk from the beautiful black beach with stunning views of the Santorini mountains right from your window and lots authentic Greek restaurants and bars within walking distance, there is no better base for your time in Santorini.

Your stylish air-conditioned room has a fully equipped bathroom and a fully furnished balcony, TV and minifridge.

The rich breakfast buffet is served in an elegant dining room. There is a swimming pool with sun beds, a bar and restaurant with terrace for al fresco dining.

Catamaran cruise in Santorini

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Ammoudi where you will embark on a wonderful  boat tour.

You start by sailing to visit the natural hot springs which are heated by the volcano. See stunning views and experience the warm thermal waters. Then, you’ll sail past Aspronisi, Indian rock and Black mountain and have chance to stop and take pictures of the amazing scenery.

You will visit the secluded areas of White beach and Mesa Pigadia and enjoy cooling off with a  swim or snorkel in the clear blue ocean, before a barbecue on board as you soak in those sea side rays.

After lunch, you will sail to Red beach for  more swimming and you will end your  trip at the port of  Vlychada.

Free day in Santorini

Today you will have a free day to do whatever you want in Santorini, relax by the pool, take a walk to the nearby sandy beach, or try one of the nearbycafes or bars. It’s completely up to you!

Food and wine tour by eBike

Today you will take an ebike sightseeing tour with your local guide, learn about the local cuisine and traditions whilst trying some amazing authentic food. You will get off the beaten track and take in the beautiful views of the less visited areas of the island.

You’ll start the gastronomy journey from Perivolos and ride to the traditional village Empori, then on to the ancient fortress of Castelli, built by the Venetians in 1450.  Stroll around the steep narrow footpaths lined with quaint little houses painted in pastel colours, and admire their curvy organic architecture in the tranquil setting.

Then, you will ride on to Megalo chori for a coffee stop in a local cafe and then head over to Caldera to take in  the stunning views of Santorini’s beautiful coastline.

The next stop is at Venetsanos Winery, one of the oldest wineries in Santorini, where you’ll have the opportunity to try some delicious traditional  dishes, typical of  the island, accompanied by 3 different locally grown wines.

After visiting the winery, you will be transferred back to your hotel for an evening of relaxation.

Free day in Santorini

Today is a free day, take the time to relax or head out to see more of the island, today is your last day here before you leave for Crete tomorrow.

Transport from Santorini to Crete

After you check-out from your hotel, we will transfer you to the port to take the boat to Crete. There, a car will pick you up to transfer you to your hotel for check-in. You will have the rest of the day free to relax and start to discover Rethymnon.

This boutique hotel is located in the heart of the historic city of Rethymnon, with lots of bars, restaurants and cafes to try the local cuisine all within walking distance.

The stylish rooms have an en-suite bathroom and include air-conditioning, refrigerator, TV.

Cretan Wine, Olive oil and Raki Tour

Today, after breakfast at your hotel, you head to Rethymno’s centre where you will visit a Raki Distillery. You will experience the sweet smell of freshly distilled raki when you arrive at the distillery and the passionate staff of “35N” will share all their secrets about the spirit made from Cretan grapes and what makes it so special.

The next stop is the Klados family winery, which is located between the shoreline and the foothills of mountains, the perfect spot to cultivate the  unique Cretan vine varieties this family has been growing for centuries, and producing their renowned wines. As you walk through the vineyard you will learn the history and the qualities of Cretan varieties. The winemakers will initiate you into their trade and you’ll conclude your visit with a full tasting of the wines.

The final stop on your tour is an olive oil mill near Mylopotamos Village. You will learn how to distinguish poor and high quality olive oil, learn how the ‘green gold’ is made and try some of the delicious traditional foods made with Olive oil before heading back to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Rethymnon Sunset Safari Tour

After a relaxing day by the pool or at the beach, you’ll be collected for your evening tour. Beginning from Rethymnon centre and heading inland through traditional villages and less travelled mountain routes. The premium off-road vehicles are driven by local expert  guides who will ensure you enjoy the best service and go to the best viewpoints for a wonderful panoramic sunset view of Rethymnon from above. Off-road routes, wild and dense vegetation, rugged, remote mountainside, a unique panoramic view of the Potamon dam and the mountains make amazing off-road sunset safari.

Yo’ull drive through the traditional Cretan villages of Pigi, Adelle, Sain Dimitrios, Holy Trinity, and Harkia and climb up to reach an amazing view point at 650m above sea level for  the best panoramic view of the dam, and to capture great photos.

You’ll continue on to  a small family-owned tavern for a tasting platter of Cretan local dishes accompanied by a glass of local wine, before driving back to Rethymnon.

Location

You will begin your island hopping holiday arriving into Santorini Airport. This iconic volcanic island is rich with vegetation, crystal clear water with some great spots for snorkelling, and wonderful food and wine. You will enjoy amazing cuisine and wine made from native grapes grown in the island’s volcanic soil.

Next you will head over to Crete. Known for its amazing beaches, rugged mountains, beautiful landscape and clear blue sea. Experience the local cuisine on your food and wine tour, see stunning views on a jeep safari  and relax in your boutique hotel. You will fly out of Crete to return home.
