What you'll do

Arrival

– Arrive at your host teacher’s home and spend the day and evening settling in to your new surroundings

A Typical Day

– As lessons are tailored to you, there is no set times for the learning
– Your hosts tend to recommend lessons in the morning as that’s when most people are more responsive to learning but schedules can be tailored to fit around you
– Usually lessons run Monday to Friday so you have the weekends free

– After breakfast, get ready for your departure, whether you’re heading home or onto another adventure

  • 15 private, 1 hour private lessons
  • Pre-course level test and suitable course materials
  • Minimum of 3 accompanied outings to places of local interest
  • Certificate of attendance and progress report at the end of the course
  • 7 nights accommodation in a private room in your teacher’s home with a shared bathroom
  • A private bathroom can be arranged for an extra fee depending on availability
  • All meals (please note that if you have any special dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free), there will be an extra supplementary fee excluding vegetarians)
  • Registration fee
  • Check-in on Sunday, time depending on host family; check-out before 10am on Sunday
  • Please note: prices are based on one person living and learning with the teacher; there is a discount available for friends or family sharing tuition in the same teacher family

This will ensure we find the right teacher to suit your needs.

This organisation offers a unique language learning experience in a local teacher’s home. With over 30 years experience, results and feedback from guests have proven that studying and living with your teacher is the most effective way to learn a language.

As you’ll be living with your tutor, sometimes including their family, the learning process never stops – you learn during lessons, conversations at meal times and on the social and cultural activities.

It is a unique opportunity to live and breathe the culture and language through an intense full immersion home language learning experience.

 

FAQs

Who are immersion holidays suitable for?

- Suitable for all language levels from beginners to advanced
- As lessons are private, they are tailored to you and you can choose to focus on what you’d like to accelerate your learning
- There are no age restrictions but students under the age of 18 must pay a supplement for 24/7 supervision unless they are accompanied by an adult travelling with them
- Home stays can be arranged for solo travellers, couples, families or friends travelling together

How does it work?

- Please submit a 'check availability' request for your chosen date or email us at hello@nitgb.com and we will then contact you for more specific details regarding your interests and preferences so we can match you with the best possible teacher
- When we have found a suitable teacher for you based on your interests and needs, we will send you their profile and you have 48 hours to accept the teacher or request a new one
- Once we have found the ideal home stay for you, you'll pay your deposit to confirm the booking

When can I start?

- The minimum stay is 1 week (7 nights) but you can stay for longer if you wish
- Arrivals are on Sundays and you check out the following Sunday morning
- You can arrive any Sunday throughout the year but there will be an additional supplement for stays during Christmas and/or New Year

Where will I be staying?

- Accommodation is included in your teacher's home from Sunday to Sunday
- You may arrive any time late Sunday afternoon and this can be arranged directly with your tutor
- You will have your own private bedroom but will share a bathroom
- Private bathrooms can be booked as an optional extra where available
- You may be living with a single teacher, a couple or with a family and you are completely free to come and go as you please

Are meals included?

- All meals and soft drinks are included in the cost of your language holiday
- If you have any special dietary needs, please enter these in the special requests box during booking process
- Please note that a supplement for special dietary requirements, such as gluten free diets, halal, etc (not including vegetarians), will be charged during the booking process
