What you'll do

Spend half a day visiting the old medieval village of Saint-Emilion and visit a chateaux and a family run wine estate to taste some of the best wines of the region.

Discover the prestigious wines of the Right Bank and Saint-Emilion! Discover the village of Saint Emilion and two magnificent castles: a family castle and a prestigious Grand Cru Classé . Stroll through the medieval town of Saint Emilion, listed by UNESCO, and enjoy this magnificent hilly landscape lined with rows of vines. In this region, the king grape variety is Merlot! 2:00 p.m  Departure from Bordeaux for Saint-Emilion . Your tour guide will give you lots of information about the Bordeaux wine region!

 

2:30 p.m On the way to Saint-Emilion, you will visit a magnificent family property on the right bank full of charm, where you will learn more about winemaking. You will discover the authenticity and intimacy of a private property and will benefit from explanations about the making of wine from the vine to the bottle. Chateaux  you will visit : Château de Reignac (Bordeaux Supérieur), Château La Dauphine (Fronsac), Château de Sales (Pomerol), Château Côte de Baleau (Saint-Emilion)… Take part in a wine tasting workshop – Become an expert Thanks to this workshop, you will learn the stages of tasting and educate your nose to recognise the aromas present in the red wine of Bordeaux. After this workshop, you will taste the different wines of the estate.

4.30 pm: Visit of a prestigious Grand Cru Classé nestled in the vineyards of St-Emilion  including Château Soutard, Château de Ferrand. Take a tour of the property through the vineyard and the cellars where some of the greatest Bordeaux wines are produced. At the end of the visit, enjoy an aperitif of local French products (cheese, sausage, dark chocolate, fresh bread) to taste with the wines of the château.

5:45 pm. Enjoy a visit to the medieval village of Saint-Emilion , listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

 

7:00 p.m Travel back to Bordeaux

2:00 p.m  Departure from Bordeaux for Saint-Emilion . Your tour guide will give you lots of information about the Bordeaux wine region, as you tour around the area and visit its most prominent chateaux and taste the amazing wines of the region. You will arrive back in Bordeaux around 8pm
