What you'll do

Overview

Stay in a unique, first-class setting in the magical winter wonderland of Finnish Lapland. Visit Father Christmas, and meet the reindeer up close. Take a reindeer safari in the sparkling snow and try snowshoeing, then spend your evenings gazing in awe at the dark sky hoping to see the brilliant colours of the Aurora Borealis.

You’ll be picked up from Rovaniemi airport, and driven straight to your incredible accommodation for the three days, your Aurora Cabins; a 29 square meter cabin that has enough room for spending an evening together under the glass roof providing a view of the star-filled sky and the Northern Lights.

Authentic, warming breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be provided in the cosy local restaurant, where you can sit at the window and drink in the picturesque views  at every meal.

During your stay, you have the opportunity to enjoy some unforgettable experiences in awe-inspiring landscapes, including snowmobile safari, Reindeer safari and even meeting Santa Clause . All your activities are expertly organised, so that you can simply enjoy  and relax as we take care of the details.

You will also have the opportunity to perhaps see the northern lights! Its all about being in the right place at the right time. Fortunately, you’ll be in exactly the right place, at the right time of year, maximising your chances of ticking off the ultimate bucket list moment, if you’re lucky you may spot them through the glass roof of your aurora cabin!

*The Resort will open 1st December 2023. The resort is currently under construction and the pictures displayed are not an actual representation. The design of the accommodation and resort will be in many ways similar to our Saariselkä and Levi resorts and you can expect the same level of comfort.

Escape to the Wilderness

When you touch down at Rovaniemi airport, we’ll be waiting there to transfer you directly to the incredible Northern Lights Village. Drive through the ethereal pine forest, and arrive at your very own luxury glass-roofed cabin, nestled within the still, white trees.

Take some time to settle in, unpack, or explore the site, then we’ll welcome you for a dinner in the cosy Lappi restaurant for a meal made with natural, local produce from the surrounding environment.

After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy. You can choose to relax in front of a roaring log fire or even book a trip to see the Northern Lights:

Then head back to your warm cabin for a night of lying under the ink-black sky, gazing upwards through the clear window to catch a glimpse of the incredible Northern Lights.

Immerse in Nature

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, and prepare yourself for a day of activities that will allow you to truly get in touch with nature and experience true wilderness.

You’ll start the day with a reindeer express ride. Get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures, so central to Sami culture and symbolic of life in the far northern reaches of Finland.

Experience a ride in a sleigh from one of these gentle animals, and hiss through the silent trees and the pure, cold air.

For the kids, they’ll be able to experience some real Lapland magic, as they meet the ‘real’ Santa in his home!

You’ll have free access to the site’s sleds, snowshoes, skis and other equipment for the entire experience, so that you’re free to explore the trails and paths that snake through this untouched, pristine part of the world and discover dramatic fells, hidden clearings and frozen lakes.

Satisfyingly wearied and chilled from a day in the open, you’ll head for another warming, hearty dinner, warm your bones by an open fire, and spend the evening at your leisure, waiting for the spectacular Borealis to burn across the clear night sky.

There is the opportunity to add a visit to see the huskies and to take a husky safari – add this to your experience at time of booking.
