What you'll do

Overview

Experience the winter wonderland of Finnish Lapland, home to the greatest natural light show on earth, and also to Santa Clause! In this unique and magical setting enjoy the snowy wonderland by reindeer sleigh and by snowmobile, by day immerse yourself in the pure natural environment outdoors in the snow and spend your evenings gazing in awe at the brilliant colours of the Aurora Borealis.

Your snowy wonderland break begins when you are picked up from Rovaniemi airport, and taken to your luxurious Sky Suite where you will stay for your adventure in this magical wilderness, exploring by day and hoping to catch sight of  the fabled Northern Lights.

Seeing this phenomenon in person is an experience that simply can’t be matched, as brilliant pinks and greens burst across the inky black sky, brushing the deep fir forests.

You’ll stay in luxury accommodation in a cosy Sky Suite, with its glass roof providing an expansive, panoramic view of the sky above you. Enjoy a range of Lappish activities, including taking the kids on a reindeer ride and the magical opportunity to meet Santa face to face in his snowy home.

You’ll also get to explore the area by getting a little further afield on snowmobiles, drinking in the incredible scenery that is so far removed from what we’re used to at home.

Gliding through the impossibly still forest and the crisp, clear Lapland air is exhilarating, and you’ll come across some of the most beautiful natural landscapes anywhere in Finland.

Satisfyingly wearied from your days of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, settle in for some delicious food prepared with only the purest ingredients from Lapland, served by a roaring, warming log fire and in the snug Lappi restaurant.

The entire 3 night program has been crafted with skill and passion so that the whole family can enjoy this unforgettable experience totally, without compromising on comfort as you relax in the highest quality accommodation and watch the beautiful night sky through your panoramic glass roof.

Please note the daily itinerary here is an example – all the activities mentioned will be included in your stay, but the days and times may vary.

Escape to the Wilderness

When you touch down at Rovaniemi airport, we’ll be waiting there to transfer you directly to the incredible Northern Lights Village. Drive through the ethereal pine forest, and arrive at your very own luxury suite with viewing window, nestled within the still, white trees.

Take some time to settle in, unpack, or explore the site, then we’ll welcome you for a dinner in the cosy Lappi restaurant for a meal made with natural, local produce from the surrounding environment.

After dinner, the evening is yours to enjoy. You can choose to relax in front of a roaring log fire or even book a trip to see the Northern Lights:

Then head back to your warm cabin for a night of lying under the ink-black sky, gazing upwards through the clear window to catch a glimpse of the incredible Northern Lights.

Immerse Yourself in Nature

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, and prepare yourself for a day of activities that will allow you to  get in touch with nature and experience true wilderness.

You’ll start the day with a reindeer express ride. Get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures, so central to Sami culture and symbolic of life in the far northern reaches of Finland.

Experience a ride in a sleigh from one of these gentle animals, and hiss through the silent trees and the pure, cold air.

For the kids, they’ll be able to experience some real Lapland magic, as they meet the ‘real’ Santa in his home!

You’ll have free access to the site’s sleds, snowshoes, skis and other equipment for the entire experience, so that you’re free to explore the trails and paths that snake through this untouched, pristine part of the world and discover gentle slopes, hidden clearings and frozen lakes.

Satisfyingly wearied and chilled from a day in the open, you’ll head for another warming, hearty dinner, warm your bones by an open fire, and spend the evening at your leisure, waiting for the spectacular Borealis to burn across the clear night sky.
