What you'll do

This unique mixture of real-life military equipment – including an army safari tent, tipi and a bomb shelter bathroom – combine to create this wonderful themed woodland hideaway.

The beautifully secluded site sits high on the hillside with breathtaking views of the Herefordshire countryside and offers a whole range of brilliantly themed army zones.

Whether you’re looking for a unique romantic getaway or fun-filled family escape this fabulous woodland camp has so much to offer.

The main living quarters is a genuine ex-military safari tent, which comes complete with two woodburning stoves, Chesterfield sofa, double bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen.

The super army tipi contains two single beds plus another woodburner, which makes a great second bedroom for kids, friends or another couple.

The bathroom is styled in the form of an air raid shelter, beautifully installed with a shower, toilet and hot running water, while the transparent roof looks up towards the trees protruding into the sky, creating a really magical outdoor experience.

There is also a wonderful outdoor wood fired hot tub for guests to use – fabulous in the evening under the stars.

An open plan kitchen tent, with recycled army equipment, of course, is perfect for a family feast, while the barbecue and fire-pit outside offers another place to dine amongst the majestic woodland setting.

The lookout point offers yet one more seating area to enjoy, with mesmerising views through a clearing in the trees, and there is even a woodland walk mapped out through the trees where several shooting targets have been installed for your own personal firing range.

Of course, no firearms are provided for safety reasons, but children (and adults too!) are free to bring their own BB guns or water pistols and tuck and roll their way through the undergrowth.

This quirky place to stay is brilliant fun and is an amazing place for couples or family adventure!
