What you'll do

Just off the main river in the yard’s mooring basin is Coot Club, which sleeps 4 people with the comfort of the gentle tide underneath. After a short 3 minute walk from your private parking space, you enter the light and airy space of the houseboat, with windows flanking all sides. Access is via a ramp, and depending on the tide, you either have to walk up or down to get on board.

The living room is at the front, complete with sliding glass doors onto the deck, sofa, and a small smart tv with wifi. The kitchen area is well equipped with a cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. There are 2 bedrooms on board. The first has a double bed, while the second is a bunk room with bespoke L shaped bunks, and both offer great views of the river, from where you can watch boats gently drift along throughout the day. There is also a stylish bathroom complete with a basin, WC, and a bath.

Whilst taking time out, you can put your feet up and use the service provided by Beccles Station cafe, to order an arrival hamper, a picnic for a day out, or even have your breakfast delivered to you while you are on holiday.

The boathouse is located on a working yard shared with the pleasant comings and goings of the local wildlife, during the day there are boats coming and going, so there is a real buzz about the place.

If you who want to get out and about and explore then there are canoes and kayaks and SUPs in order to do that via the river. If you want to try canoeing, kayaking or SUPs you  can s take a guided tour or a lesson, and learn new skills whilst finding out about the local area. If you want to try something totally different our pedal boat for two is a wonderful way to see the wildlife. Private Fishing is permitted off the houseboats and around the yard.
