What you'll do

Stay in a unique glamping pod made for two in the beautiful landscape of the Norfolk broads, get close to nature and enjoy the great outdoors. A wonderful private and tranquil retreat to relax, enjoy canoeing or paddle boarding on the river or a soak in your hot tub.

Ideal for a special occasion or even a honeymoon, Damselfly pod is situated on a large site with only two other glamping pods in the vicinity, making it the perfect place to relax unwind and really get back to nature. The site is for adults only and the pods have their own outdoor area, with hot tub and garden furniture.

There is exclusive access to Broad Fen, when you are staying in a glamping pod, it’s a privately owned 95-acre Special Area of Conservation (SAC), where you can wander to your hearts content in the peace and tranquility of this wonderful place, with vibrant fen meadows and woodland harbouring many rare and endangered species. Broad Fen provides wonderful walks right on your doorstep and on site there are canoes and SUPs to hire right from your own quirky place to stay.

Included in your glamping pod are:

The Paterson Family

The glamping retreat is owned and operated by the Paterson family, who have been farming in Dilham since 1946. The focus at the farm is on conservation and respect for the local wildlife and the environment. Luke and Louise have put sustainability at the heart of the business and are delighted to have succeeded in achieving a carbon negative status, when the operation was assessed in 2022.

Two of the farm’s main crops are maize and rye, which are supplied to a local anaerobic digestion plant. These energy crops produce enough green energy to power 6,000 homes every year. The glamping pods are the perfect place to really immerse yourself in the wonderful British countryside.

Off the beaten track, Broad Fen is in the most northerly part of the Norfolk Broads.  Britain’s largest protected wetland has a vast network of waterways connecting Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and provides a special kind of habitat where many rare and endangered species thrive.

Are children allowed?

No, the site is for adults only. The three glamping pods all take maximum two people, minimum age 18.

Are dogs allowed?

No pets are allowed on the site.

What time is check in and check out?

Arrival is after 4pm and check out is at 10am.

Are there shops and restaurants close by?

The nearest pubs are The Cross Keys (1.5m) and The Wayford Bridge Inn (3.5m). There is a large Tesco in Stalham (approx 5miles) and Waitrose, Sainsbury's, cafes and shops in North Walsham ( approx 7 miles)
