Hugh and Prue

We moved from Salisbury to this glorious corner of North East Dorset in October 2020. We fell in love with our thatched house and the surrounding countryside. Having found our forever home we worked at creating fabulous escape from every day life for family, friends and guests alike.

We realised the house and the local terrain were ideally suited to mountain biking adventures, and our combined experience of biking and hospitality created an opportunity to start these MTB weekend adventures.

Hugh has been a keen mountain biker since the mid 1990s. He has organised and run many biking trips since then with various groups and abilities from small intimate gangs of 5 people up to large groups with over 20 riders.

He has organised biking weekends in Yorkshire, Devon and Wiltshire, on the Isle of Wight, and at several locations around Dorset.

There is nothing he loves more (apart from Prue) than a map, a new route and a spectacular downhill.

Prue owned and ran a holiday business in Lot & Garonne France for 15 years. She created two beautifully appointed luxury Gites with gardens swimming pool and child-friendly activities. She often provided evening home cooked meals using locally sourced ingredients for her guests and also ran residential painting and well-being courses.

She discovered mountain biking when she teamed up with Hugh in 2017 and has not looked back, although she definitely prefers an e-bike.
