This culinary experience lets you explore Copenhagen and learn about the Nordic country’s burgeoning cuisine and restaurant scene through several tastings. Discover Scandinavian produce that's is fresh and regional, and scout out the locals’ favorite eateries and market halls with an expert, local guide at your side.
We will start at Torvehallerne, the new covered market halls, where we will sample artisan cheese, developed in collaboration with the city’s Michelin-starred chefs. Try liquorice, caramels and preserves from some of the most interesting small producers. We will explore the city, wander through Copenhagen Botanical Gardens, relaxing in the beautiful green surroundings – all that while learning about produce and local foods.
During the tour you’ll pass several of the city’s greatest landmarks and discuss its history – of course with an emphasis on the food! Exclusive to this tour, you’ll get to have the local, open sandwiches (smørrebrød) and hit a microbrewery to sample three different types of home-brewed beer.
One can’t visit Copenhagen without eating the classic hotdog, so you will be having a gourmet version (come hungry)! Your tour will finish back at the Torvehallerne, so you can explore further on your own and get some shopping in. Make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to explore the city and its food after the tour!
