Split your time between finding inner peace with relaxing yoga classes unleashing the creative within as you learn to capture inspirational images of Costa Rica for a holiday with a difference.

The rich colours and beauty of the tropical paradise that is Costa Rica make a perfect setting for a photography course. Your talented local guide will take you to breathtaking locations so that you can take home unique photos to really be proud of.

Suitable for first time photographers to professionals looking to learn new techniques, this course can be tailored to your own personal level of experience.

You’ll also learn the basics of photo editing using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, while the more advanced learn new techniques and the best way to apply these to your work.

Your yoga classes will take place in a mixture of naturally beautiful outdoor settings around the area, so that you can truly unwind and be at one with nature during your classes while absorbing the stunning scenery of Costa Rica.

Your experienced yoga instructors are trained in various types of yoga, including Iyengar based Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara or Bikram.

Accommodation is included in the popular student residence. The student residence is a great place to hang out with other students at the school and is just minutes from Jaco beach and the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Arrival

Arrive at the student residence, relax, and meet your fellow students!

Accommodation
– During your course you’ll stay in the popular student residence in the school grounds
– Prices are based on arrivals on the Sunday before your course starts and end on the Saturday morning after your course has finished
– It’s located just a few minutes walk from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood close to the centre of Jacó
– Decorated in tropical hardwoods and bamboo, stained glass and mosaic floors, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Costa Rican way of life
– If you are travelling solo, you can either can share a room with 1 other guest (of the same sex) and between you will have a private bathroom or if you are a solo traveller, you can book a private room for an extra supplement and note that these rooms sell out fast during peak season (December-March and May-August)
– Rooms are safe and clean and have air conditioning, ceiling fans, hot water, fridges and all students share a basic kitchen and communal areas

Standard shared rooms
A great option for travellers on a budget. All shared rooms are double occupancy with twin single beds. Solo travellers will be paired with a roommate of the same sex.

Private rooms
Book yourself your own bedroom, just for you, by making a standard shared room private.

Deluxe private room
For an additional supplement, this option is great for couples or solo travellers looking to treat themselves! These rooms have a comfortable king size bed and all the features of a standard room plus a complimentary bath towel service.

A Typical Day

Your classes will take place on Monday to Friday, and the exact times will be confirmed during your stay

Digital photography
– You will have 10 hours of photography classes per week fitting in around your yoga classes

Yoga lessons
– Your yoga classes last 1.5 hours each day and times will be confirmed on arrival
– Yoga classes will be taken on the beach, in the gardens or in the yoga studio

The tutors are all fully qualified and are extremely passionate about their teaching. They’ll teach in a fun and informal style with the aim to inspire and pass on their passion and will encourage and give confidence to you through their teaching.

Your school and lovely accommodation is located just a few minutes walk from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood close to the centre of Jacó, on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast. Decorated in tropical hardwoods and bamboo, stained glass and mosaic floors, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Costa Rican way of life.

Nearest airport:
San Jose (SJO)

If your plane arrives after 4pm, we strongly suggest taking a taxi to Jaco. Alternatively, arrive into San Jose on the Saturday before the course, stay overnight and travel on to Jaco the next day. However, you won’t necessarily save money this way so please consider all the transport options available to you. See your booking voucher for more details.

Who is it suitable for?

- Photography courses are also suitable for all from beginners to more advanced photographers
- Yoga classes are suitable for all levels from complete beginners to intermediate yogis
- Minimum age 18

I'm a solo traveller - can I join?

- Most people on these holidays travel solo as they make great singles holidays
- This school in Costa Rica is really social and the focus is on making friends, learning a new skill and most importantly, having fun!
- The school organises a host of social & cultural activities to help you get to know your classmates
- This holiday is perfect for solo travellers to meet like-minded students
- There is NO single supplement for solo travellers who are happy to share a room with another solo traveller of the same sex
- However, if you would prefer your own room, this can be booked for an additional supplement subject to availability

When can I start?

- Classes start weekly and run year round
- Accommodation is included in the price of this course, you'll check-in on the Sunday before the course starts and check out the Saturday after the course ends
- Your classes will take place Monday to Friday

What can I do in my free time?

- There is so much to see and do around the area of Jaco Beach
- You can choose to take a field trip kayaking and snorkelling along the coast and a waterfall hike to the 'Three Pools'
- A variety of marine life can be seen around the reefs including tropical fish, lobster, corals, and much more
- Other optional excursions through the school include visits to the Rainforest or a Crocodile River tour
- You will have plenty of time to kick back on the surf beaches and relax or practice your new found skills
- Just let the school know during your stay which activities you’d like to join and they will be happy to help you to organise your trip
