Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I was born and raised in Bogota when I was studying I actually didn;t didn’t study anything to do with tourism. My career began in engineering and I worked in this industry for many years, but I always maintained a passion for travel, discovery and exploring and did plenty in my spare time. Both in Colombia and across the rest of the world.

After a while, my husband got an offer to work in the UK and so we moved across the world and then came my idea to start a business… (which has always been a big ambition of mine)

What inspired you to work in travel?

As mentioned, I always had a passion for travel and always wanted to start my own business. It was about 7 years ago I attended a conference where the Colombian government outlined their plans to invest in tourism to make Colombia fulfil its potential as a tourism destination. So here the seeds were planted to start looking to offer experiences in Colombia. Another influence was that obviously being from Colombia myself and my husband have deep knowledge of all the local, authentic things to do. So whenever our friends were visiting, they would always come to us to ask what to do and where to go and we loved telling people, so this was the second indicator. So we started to look to offer these experiences.

What makes your experiences special?

We combine the highlights of Colombia, the things most people want to see, with off the beaten track, authentic experiences that you wouldn’t get on any normal tour. So people really get an insight into true local life as well as seeing any must-see, main sights.

What Sustainability Efforts are we Taking?

What our travellers are saying...

We had such a wonderful experience! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Definitely will recommend to friends.

Marrgerita

We toured in and around Bogota our first trip and for the last 2 years we have been going to Cartagena. The hotel reservations, the transfers, and the tours are always done in a flawless manner. The tour guides that they employ are always friendly and enthusiastic: and it does not matter whether you are visiting a coffee plantation or Old Town Cartagena. We would never use any other agency when travelling in Colombia. We are very satisfied client

Roxanne

The experience provided by was a holiday of a lifetime, easy to arrange and professionally organised. The entire trip from hotel to life experience and back to Hotel was seamless and great fun.

FAQs

What should I pack and what will the climate be like?

The Amazon Region

- Since the Amazon Jungle is a tropical rain forest, the climate is hot and humid with average temperatures around 28°C. The warmest month is usually November and the coolest month is usually July
- Use sun protection, insect repellents and take the recommendations to avoid mosquito bites
- We recommend you receive the yellow fever vaccination
- Bring 1 pair of comfortable waterproof walking shoes with good grip.
- Take another pair of shoes to rest and walk in the village
- Comfortable long pants other than jeans, so you get more flexibility
- Wear a shirt with long sleeves and a hat or something to cover the neck from the sun
- A small backpack for the day trips and night at a Natural Reserve and/or Puerto Nariño. You can leave the rest of the luggage in Leticia
- Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, insect repellent and a small torch
- If you require long waterproof boots (wellies) during your visit to the natural reserve, you can rent some there
- For your day trips and stay in a natural reserve and/or Puerto Nariño bring cash if you want to buy something. Unfortunately, ATM are only available.

Bogota and Surroundings

- Bogota is generally cold and rainy, with temperatures ranging from 5oC to 20oC, often much colder in the evenings than during the day
- Ensure you have a good jacket, preferably waterproof and shoes that keep your feet warm and dry. Bogota is famous for going through all "four seasons" in 24 hours, due to the frequent changes in weather. Please be prepared for cold, warm and rainy days

Cartagena

- The weather in the Caribbean coast is usually hot with temperatures ranging from 30oC and 32oC. You won't need jackets or sweatshirts, but you may want to bring a pair of jeans or two as that's the normal dress for nights out
