What you'll do

A unique hiking experience with breathtaking views, secret caves, soft white sands, unusual forests and other fascinating surprises.

Hike the southeastern edge of the Table Mountain National Park

The Constantia Corner Hike explores the southeastern edge of the Table Mountain National Park and is truly the ramblers dream as the park is acknowledged as one of the world’s most remarkable attractions and you will soon discover why.

Cape Floristic Region

As part of the Cape Floristic Region World Heritage Site, unusual and endangered plants make this area their home. The unique flora of the region is known locally as Fynbos (fine bush), an ancient and fire-dependent vegetation which needs to burn every 15 years or so to promote future growth and stay healthy. Wild Proteas, possibly the most famous of the Fynbos vegetation and unique to this part of the world, can be seen and enjoyed throughout the hike.

Including Seldom Visited Vantage Points

The route of this hike will take us from Eagle’s nest, along an obscure path above the restricted Orange Kloof area, passing numerous weather sculpted rock-formations, including the fascinating monolith known locally as Camel Rock at Klaasens Buttress, to seldom visited vantage points offering breathtaking views of the Cape Peninsula.

Views of Orange Kloof and Hout Bay

We will explore and rest frequently in a variety of secret overhang caves, penetrating deep into the craggy sandstone cliffs but offering the perfect picture frame views of Orange Kloof and Hout Bay. This is any photographer’s dream come true.

A dam that looks like a beach

We will relax on soft white sands whilst breakfasting at a dam that looks like a beach on top of the mountain. The full-day option will include a delightfully secret route that will take you through unusual forests and dells and many a fascinating surprise on route.
