What you'll do

This eco friendly cottage is in a great location to enjoy all the wonderful attractions South Wales has to offer, or you may simply wish to spend lazy days enjoying the cottage and over a hundred acres of private grounds with walks from the cottage door. Available from April 2022.

Wake up to birdsong and the sound of the stream in this idyllic retreat in the Welsh countryside. The cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and has won several eco and sustainability awards. It is perfectly suited for a family holiday, romantic getaway or short break. Sleeping 4, with 2 bedrooms upstairs(1 double and 1 twin) and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs is the kitchen, with a dining area and separate lounge and a WC. 

The farmhouse style kitchen-diner is superbly equipped with a Belfast sink and full range of modern equipment, oven, hob and fridge. The lounge has sofas and a log burner, an HDTV with freesat for cosy nights in. 

Outside, there is a large lawned area with picnic benches and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining on warm sunny days under the shade of giant beech trees.

The cottage is on a large 15th century farm once owned by a knight of the round table, it is steeped in history and folklore and a great place to explore.

Nearby there are beaches, waterfalls, caves, castles and much more. Cardiff is only a short drive away for a day out and there are a wide selection of restaurants for a special dinner in the capital of Wales.

Location

The cottage is located in Cilybebyll, which is just a short drive away from Swansea. It is nestled in the Welsh countryside yet it is extremely accessible and is the perfect location for a cosy cottage.

The cottage is eco-friendly and enjoys a peaceful and secluded location on a historic estate near the beautiful south western gateway into Brecon Beacons National Park. Local highlights include the beaches of Gower Peninsula, the Vale of Neath waterfalls,  Carreg Cennen and Kidwelly castles, the seaside city of Swansea, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and much more.

Check in is at 12:30 pm and check out is at 10:30 am

There are many nearby attractions within a short drive; the beaches of Gower Peninsula, the Vale of Neath waterfalls, Carreg Cennen and Kidwelly castles, the seaside city of Swansea, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and beautiful walking routes straight from the cottage door.

Can I bring my dog ?

No. The swallow house is not suitable for pets
