What you'll do

This superb cycling route along the wonderful Clarence Drive is tailored with various distances to suit your own fitness levels and accompanied by an experienced tour guide to show the secrets of the area. The cycling extraganza offer opportunities to see Baboons who, frequent this stretch of smooth road along with other wildlife, with the possible opportunities to see dolphins and whales (in season) in the area too.

We are transported to the outskirts of Gordon’s Bay for the start of the thrilling scenic cycle alongside Holland Hottentot Mountains. We will follow the many curves around the coast to the beautiful villages of Pringle Bay, Betty’s Bay and beyond. Once we’ve warmed up our legs, we head back on a superb road known as Clarence Drive with the sea right next to us and then the whole of False Bay spreads out before us. Quite awesome. Baboons frequent this stretch of smooth road along with other wildlife, with the possible opportunities to see dolphins and whales (in season) in the area too. I will talk about the maritime history of the area noticeably marked with crosses to signify all the shipwrecks along the coast, and the differing cultures that have settled in the Cape and helped form our vibrant history, while you enjoy the incredible views and natural beauty of the Cape.

Being a keen sportsman from my school days, I’ve always enjoyed the competitive side of running and then latterly cycling, whilst still trying to climb the corporate ladder in a full time career back in the UK. Having realised my true passion and calling was combining this with my love of history, something of which I studied at College, it seemed a natural progression to become a qualified cycling tour guide.

Having spent many happy holidays in Cape Town, we(my wife and I) decided to follow our hearts and move to the stunning Cape and set up our cycling tour business here, something that was sadly lacking on our visits. Being a very experienced and passionate cyclist I believe cycling is the only way to see and experience how much Cape Town and her surrounds has to offer and how truly breathtaking the scenery really is. Come and see for yourself!

What our travellers are saying...

Outstanding! There are a lot of people who could lead a day tour around the cape, but not like Mark. He will tailor your ride to your needs and fill your ears with history, culture, geography and more as your eyes take in the amazing sights. Oh, and this chap can ride your legs off if you want to hammer. For me, however, he waited patiently at the tops of the climbs and pulled dutifully into the wind. Highly recommended.

What a great way to explore the Cape We have a great day out with Mark riding around the cape. Has to go down as one of my all-time rides. Mark also provided a backup vehicle that followed us around which really helped with all the spare clothes, camera and valuables. Also helped when some of the group wanted to finish the route early. Can't recommend this enough, I would certainly do this again if and when we visit Cape Town again.

We had booked a 1/2 day tour with Mark unfortunately, there had been a mix up with our hire bikes which we had booked through another company. We phoned CTC at 8 pm the evening before our tour and enquired if they could pull a rabbit out of the proverbial hat? Calm as you like Mark took the details of frame sizes required and our guide turned up the following morning at 7 am with some great bikes and a route which took in the amazing Chapma

My partner and I spent a half day cycling around the Cape to meet with friends. Mark was so warm and friendly - he had everything ready to go for us on arrival (including inner tubes, pump, water bottles and maps). We booked fairly last minute and Mark was quick to respond and easy to organise everything with. A great place with great people!

we really recommend going on a tour with Mark. we love cycling, and we try to do a cycling tour every trip. Mark is a real pro, and he managed everything perfectly. also, he tried to make this trip as much affordable to us as possible. It was a rainy day so we were a little bit afraid of going, but Mark arranged a vehicle for us, so we went in every time it rained and were totally fine. also, he isn't going to hard on you- Mark understands wh

Mark brought bikes for my wife and I, literally to our door and to our specification. He gave us a lovely ride around the Cape Peninsula, sharing his local knowledge. Mark accommodates to different levels of cycling experience and aspiration. On a previous visit, I was able to rent a bike for my own rides. If you want to access directly the superb environment of this part of the world, cycling is a great way to do it, and Mark can make it
