What you'll do

Cape Town is seen as a melting pot for a reason – people from all walks of life, from all over the world live in one multi-cultural city with acceptance and the sharing of awesome experiences bringing everyone together. Our Cape Town Sights & Bites tour takes guests around the greater Mother City area for a true and authentic taste of one of the most popular cities in the world.

Starting on the right foot we visit the Cape Malay cultural site – the historic Bo Kaap. Ever seen those pictures of the brightly-coloured houses perched on the slopes of Signal Hill? That’s Bo Kaap. The area is known for its Cape Malay heritage and the delicious cuisine that goes along with it. Sample the famous Capetonian samoosa and the sweet, dough-based koeksister. Rated the ‘World’s Best Coffee Shop’ by The Daily Telegraph, this café serves hot, high-quality coffee in their Steampunk themed inner-city café. Tour attendees will be able to enjoy the best of the bean from their extensive menu.

Next, we’ll move onto the street art of District Six and Woodstock. Local artists have long been decorating these inner city areas with vibrant creations in a range of different styles. They paint what they see, and exploring the city with street art as your map is a really special way to discover the greatest place on earth. Cupcakes are a great addition to any day, and there’s seriously yummy, seriously loved bakery in the area. Good thing we’re stopping off there for a spot of blood-sugar refuelling after the epic visual leg of the city.

Next, we’ll hop back on board and head out to the Constantia Winelands. The home of the beloved Klein Steenberg range is a lush, green slice of vino paradise smack-bang in the middle of the populous Southern Suburbs. We’ll take a tour around the cellar and fit in a cheeky bit of wine tasting. The farm is also home to our delectable lunch venue that the locals love. Their menu features fresh and local ingredients prepared with the utmost respect. The results are, in as few words as possible, simply some of the best dishes in Cape Town.

Next, the tour hops along to another Constantia gem, nestled on the upper slopes of the valley and their winemaking is a family affair. Their range, named after members of the family, covers most wine varietals, blended to perfection and best enjoyed on their modern and stylish estate.

The last official stop on our tour whisks guests off to the most famous road in Cape Town for views that need to be seen to be believed. The road was carved out of the mountain face and is somewhat of a local icon.

The final stop is shrouded in secrecy – it’s our top secret sunset spot. Sundowners is a national institution, and we know exactly how to celebrate the practices of our forefathers.

Kiff Kombi Tours was started by a couple of Australian travellers who have roots in many countries around the world. The company’s owner, Drew Campbell, was born in South Africa but moved to Australia with his family at a young age. Upon arrival, this couple travelled extensively around their new city. As tourists themselves, it became clear that Cape Town was the best city in the world but it was missing something. Before settling in they embarked on an African adventure and thanks to many long bus journeys and a lot of time to ponder, the Kiff Kombi Tours idea was born.

“It’s usually South Africans moving to Australia, however for Sophie and I, we are bucking the trend and have made the move to the Rainbow Nation. People often ask why Cape Town, and the answer is always, well have a look at this place.”
