Immerse yourself in Tuscany's world-renowned food scene with a 4-hour market to table cooking class with a professional, local chef, where you'll learn all the techniques that go into authentic Tuscan cuisine.
What if, when returning from Italy, you didn’t just come home with pictures, but with new cooking skills too? Wouldn’t it be great to impress your friends and family with a traditional Italian meal you cooked yourself?
On this tour, you will gain unique techniques and the best tips for making the perfect Italian meal, taught by the best possible tutor, a chef from the local area.
The class will start with a visit to the market, where our Italian chef will help you choose the best ingredients. They’ll help you identify the best quality and the freshest products, and help you understand when certain ingredients come into season, so that you guarantee the very best base for your dish.
Once you have everything you need you’ll head to our cooking school, where we’ll begin preparing your food. During this four hour lesson, you will create a full Italian meal, from appetizer to dessert.
All the cutting, washing and general preparing will be covered, then our chef will show you how to make fresh pasta from a row of ingredients, and you will have the chance to knead it yourself!
You will also learn to cook an incredible sauce (Tomato, Ragù Bolognese or Pesto), ‘bruschetta’ as a starter, a main course (seafood or meat) with a side dish, as well as a dessert.
Our chef will show you how to decorate your plate to perfection and you will finally enjoy lunch, consisting of the amazing dishes you made. Lunch will be accompanied by a local wine, water or soft drink as you prefer.
At the end of the class, you will also receive a Graduation Certificate signed by the chef, as well as the recipes for the dishes you made so that you can recreate them back home. At the end of this Italian cooking experience, you will be driven back to the departure point in the center of Florence.
Please note, on Sundays and bank holidays the central market is closed so the visit to the market will not be included.
